Photowalk - Tall Ships 1812 Tour, Brockville

Yesterday, I drove down to Brockville to do some Tall Ship watching.

All information about the event and details about the ships can be found here.

I arrived in Brockville at about 12.30h. Once I found a place to park my car, I strolled through this charming town. I ended up in a great place from where to watch the ships go by, right next to the water.

The weather was beautiful, it was warm with a little bit of a breeze. There were clouds but often the sun bathed the ships in a beautiful light. A number of times that produced great contrast between water, sky and the white of the sails.

Unfortunately I figured out too late, that the amount of sun cream I put on before spending so much time next to the water was not enough and I ended up looking partially like a lobster. Well, as a result I spent Saturday indoors sifting through the gazillion of photos I took, picking my favorites and converting the .raw files.

The smoke that can be seen in a number of pictures comes from the cannons during their "shooting" at the infantry re-enactors.
